What is the ACTA?
ACTA Anti-Counterfeiting Trade or the Agreement is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty negotiated by the United States, European Union, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announced that they will join in too.
Why you should care about ACTA?
Initial reports indicated that the agreement will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting "Internet distribution and information technology." (Whether military invasion?)
